Club Formation
The Meadows School Tech Club - Student-founded organization promoting technical collaboration and learning
The Meadows School is a pretty academically demanding enviornment with long readings, essays, and frequent tests. Because of this students don't really have the time / want to come to club meetings or think of building projects (especially with STEM) outside of school. This eventually became a problem for me as it was lonely without other people to talk and get inspired by projects and ideas. To solve this problem I started Tech Club.
Leadership & Organization
As founder and president, I planned the club's structure with with a bi-weekly meeting format to come and share one thing related to tech/engineering/coding. Members (me included) hosted workshops on the side ranging from basic Arduino programming to Game Development with Unity. Starting from 10 members and working up to 25 by 2025 garnered a small community of incentivized makers/learners within technology and engineering.
Activities & Impact
The club has hosted numerous project showcases where members demonstrate their latest work, from coding projects to hardware builds. Using the school club funding, I was able to mentor and supply 10 students to build their own custom projects for projects such as a custom spinning LED game, a motion detected light bulb, a mechanized robotic arm, experimentation with a different set of microcontrollers, etc...
Members from this club were drawn as volunteers for Circuit Charm (my local community project) teaching 100+ kids from community centers computer, engineering, and learning skills.
Future Vision
As I graduate from The Meadows School, the next president was already chosen (VP now) is being prepared by me to take on the responsiblity of the club for 2026
